Astor Grill
Situated in a National Trust building constructed in 1922, Astor Grill remains a favourite spot for business lunches and classy dinners. Launched in 1982, this restaurant makes use of its Victorian-style decor to craft a pleasant environment, with food to match. If it's char-grilled, it's on the menu, and Astor certainly grills up a storm with its trademark steaks. Alongside all the grain-fed sirloins and scotch fillets, seafood is also an Astor highlight, with such delicacies as the Bruny Island oysters, and creamy garlic king prawns. This classic Hobart haunt proudly uses fresh Tasmanian meats, seafood and game to best show off its wares - of which there are many.
