Awesome .... you couldn't possibly ask for more
On two occassions now I have dined at Ashala, on both occassions we have had large groups of people and I have to say everything was utterly superb. The staff were polite and courteous and would go out of their way to make our stay and meal enjoyable, the pruces are reasonable and the food is outstanding. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to be impressed.

Went back for more
We went to this restaurant while on holiday in Brisbane. We were wondering around looking for somewhere to eat and walked past this place. The waiter got talking and convinced us it was the place to be. A very affable young man. We were very impressed. The food was delicious and perfectly cooked. I had the sirloin and baked potato on special, and my partner had the reef and beef. We had garlic bread for starters, and were impressed with the decent size. At other restaurants we have to fight over the small amount we get. We loved our food so much, we rocked up again the next morning for breakfast where I had eggs Benedict and he had smoked salmon and eggs with hash browns. The service was very efficient.

Hit.. and miss.
My dining partner and I waited an hour for our meals. They ran out of fettucini for one of their specials, the 'Fresh Seafood Fettucine'. Five minutes after being informed that the fettucine had run out, they returned carrying the 'fresh' seafood for the dish - a frozen bag of mixed seafood.

After more waiting we received our dishes. The kangaroo special was especially small - a small serving of meat on a bed of salty mash.

The wine menu is limited and overall this venue does not represent great value for money, or have good service.
