GO Elsewhere.. not worth it!!!
I go to the gym right above this sushi place. everytime I wlk by it looks very busy. I think this is for the simple reason that they one of two daytime sushi spots in the cross. I gave the atmosphere a decent score because there is great people watching from their glass store front. However, what really prompted me to write this rotten review was the food and the tea. I ordered the 8-piece salmon sushi roll, brown rice, and a veg tempura. the tempura does not come with the typical sauce in a dish on the side. no, they douse the pieces themselves.. not nice. Especially since tempura should be about that lovely light batter. there's is thick, greassy and doused in sauce. the roll was ok, the salmon used in it was not the nice thick stuff.. rather it was the stringy side bits. didn't fully enjoy it. finally, the thing that i was most upset about was the tea. i ordered green tea, had to ask twice, the service is non existent. no specials either. when i finally got my tea, (after my meal), i drank it and asked for a refill.. THEY CHARGE 2 DOLLARS FOR EVERY CUP OF GREEN TEA!!!! im really unhappy about this, i go to small sushi shops and hi-end ones all the time.. i have never been charged for a refill of GREEN TEA!!?? I hope you don't bother to waste your time, money and eating experience here.
