BE INFORMED
This restaurant is not the one that you see in the pictures on their website. They have taken photos of a nice restaurant and put them on (no joke). pretty much every photo on their website is nothing like the real 'arriva'. Here are some unbiased facts: when you walk into arriva you are first greeted by a broken neon sign, tables that are out on the road, with a view of nandos and the neighbours residential happenings. the food took twice as long as promised to come out (which was ages), and the place is stinking hot, even at night. the food was below average but tolerable, but definitely not worth the other things. to get to the arriva bathrooms you need to walk down a back alley past some giant bins, and the bathrooms had freshly 'mopped' floors (ie the floors were wet [splipery] and muddy). this was a negative experience!!

I love this place and it IS the best italian in brisbane!!
I love this little italian restaurant tucked away in the corner of new farm. I visit this place as often as I can to fight off the cravings for Arriva Food, the food is sensational and to die for, hench why I love eating here!! There prices are very reasonable not over the top like some places, the service is great and the waitstaff are really nice especially with the craziness there as quite often this little restaurant is buzzing with people who have come for good food eat in and takeawey. This little place has people who dont book in advance sit on other booked tables to eat quickly before the next table arrives, quick pizza/pasta to birthday parties all so we can get our fix, and let the next person in for there turn Ive watched it many times, Ive done it many times!! Probably doesnt help that they have won Queensland Best Pizza 4 years in a row including this year and there seafood specials are delicously fresh and gnocchi gorgonzola is spectacular. My boyfriend, All my friends and I love this place and all we really want from a restaurant is good food and good prices and good service, Thanks Arriva.

Birthday Dinner
I have heard some good reviews from this restaurant, but unfortunately I did not have a good one to report on. The Calamari was deep fried and there was not much squid inside and my pasta was quite watery. Maybe the pizzas are a lot better? The service was quite good though but the atmosphere was average, probably because we were sitting outside and it was pretty cold.

Incredibly poor service!
Worst meal served by a very rude man who seemed to be in charge of an overbooked restaurant whose main interest was getting us in and out as quickly as possible and couldn't give a stuff about whether we were being served properly or not. Food was highly salted and very mediocre. Worst dining experience ever in brisbane!

Food always fab
Significant Other and I have dined here a few times, although it's popularity means it's very hard to get in! The food is, without fail, fantastic. The service is normally great, although I think they sometimes overstretch themselves and so it can seem very rushed, and hard to catch the eye of wait staff.
The ambience is so-so, we usually get stuck down the side in the cement driveway, which I think could benefit from a few plants and fairy lights, even a tacky Trompe L'Oeeil mural wouldn't do any harm. If you're inside, you can feel a bit battered and brushed off by the busy-busy atmosphere. If you're booking far enough in advance, ask to be sat on the alfresco-street side. But enough of that, its all worth it because this place serves the best Italian in Brisbane.
We really can't recommend it highly enough based on quality of food alone, and the prices are quite reasonable. SO and I normally can't go past the seafood specials, but the one time we did try a pizza, it was superb, crispy and authentic.

Tasty and filling
We went to Arriva's while on holiday in Brisbane before going to the Powerhouse for the show. I picked it based on its reviews on this site. I had the meat-stuffed canneloni which was absolutely delicious. My partner had one of the specials, I can't remember the name, but it had chilli in it. Too hot for my liking, but my tongue is sensitive. He enjoyed it. Both meals were very filling. For dessert I had the chocolate cake, and he had the tiramasu. Both were delectable. Yummy.

This place is wonderful!
This is by far one of the best Italian restaurants in Brisbane. Absolutely the best pizza I have ever had. The calamari and the prosciutto-wrapped prawns are so good I would fight for the last one! Truly a culinary delight!

Birthday bash
This is a combination of reviews as I have been here four times previously and had takeaway menu. The first time was mid last year and the food and service were great. Recommended by the barber of a friend as one of the best Italian restaurants in Bris! I started with the brushetta valdostana (beautiful) then the mussel broth which was awesome and served hot (signature meal). Also I have had capricciosa pizza (I like more of a base however) and the penne puttanesca which was very good. Another fav are the zucchini flowers which were fresh, tasty and delicious. Overall this reetaurant doesn't disappoint, the service can be patchy, but that is mainly due to the busyness of the place and the waiters are always friendly. The atmosphere is not up there depending on what parties are going on around you, but the chaos can be truely Italian! I have also found the wine list to be good with some lovely chiantis, but am always astounded by the desire to charge corkage per person! This is a very popular and busy place and the pressure is on to get in, eat and make way for the next table. But for all that I keep coming back and it hasn't been supplanted as what I believe to be one of the best places for fine Italian cooking.
