Fantastic Service, Fabulous Food, Wonderful Atmosphere and Great Company, who could ask for anything more?
We visited Aqualinea for my mother's birthday dinner, and had a wonderful time.
The service was impeccable, and the food was delicious. I had the crab lasagne (which was nice), and my partner had the tea smoked duck, which was absolutely fantastic! Being able to sit right near the river was great for atmosphere & my little boy was happy to watch the citycats go by as well.

I will definitely be visiting them again and I will recommend them to others.

My Dad's Birthday
This is a restaurant we go to when we can, and when we feel like a treat. My Dad's birthday was last week and therefore I immediately thought of Aqualinea as a place to take him and Mum for a treat.

We arrived after booking a table for 3 and had a table overlooking the river outside - lovely view watching the river traffic going by. Because they knew it was my Dad's birthday, he was offered a drink of their best scotch which my Dad loves and especially loved as a treat. We ordered only main meals after our bread (which was flavourful and fresh).

The mains we ordered was steak and two specials - the food was delicious and could not be faulted for flavour and cooking to perfection. The atomsphere is lovely on an early summers evening in that it was cooler with the breeze and yet just right as we ate and drunk with the hum of other tables talking. The service as always was amazing with the people who run it going out of their way to make people welcome, especially through ensuring they recognise their 'regulars' where possible - and then of course their is the food and wine selection too.

I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant without fail as everytime over the past 3+ years we have been there, it feels like a treat, something I certainly could not replicate at home in terms of the food - awesome as always!

Wonderful dining experience
When we arrived were seated next to the window overlooking the river, stunning view. I started off with an entree of Braised Pork Belly, good size portion and crackled to perfection. For my main I had the Sirlion (Medium), this came out cooked perfectly and melted in the mouth. After eating the first two courses I was so full but couldn't resist the Warm Choc Mousse with Lavender Praline, if I could lick the plate clean without making a scene I would have. Throughout the entire evening we were always kept well topped up with our drinks and never had a dry mouth. One of the best dinner experiences I've had for a long time, highly recommend trying Aqua Linea.

You have to try it for yourself
Dinner with friends i hadn't seen in years was perfect due to the great food, friendly atmosphere, service that let us talk all night but kept us well hydrated.
For entree I had the goats curd beignets which when cut oosed cheesy goodness. For mains I had the Duck Leg with roasted pumpkin and orange sauce, mmmmmm.... and dessert, well the chocolate fondant tart, i dont have words to describe the rich chocolate velvety taste.
We enjoyed a bottle of cloudy bay sauv blanc a perfect accompliment to a delicious meal.
All in all would recommend getting in a cab and checking this one yourself.

Amazing food
I attended this restaurant with friends, on arrival were greeted with prompt service.
Entree ordered the 'Seafood Assiette'. The warm tomato nage and horseradish cream oysters were 'TO DIE FOR'. Absolutely amazing! You must try these!
Main meal was Confit Duck leg, again, awesome. Duck was cooked to perfection. Dessert was chocolate fondant tart, the chefs could do no wrong.
Were seated inside and at times were a touch cold. Drinks were reasonably priced and the view of the water was beautiful.
Overall an experience i will be back again for.

Mediocre
The wait staff were pleasant and reasonably attentive so no complaints there.
We were seated inside at the only table close to the window which has a view over the river. They had got the lighting inside correct so you could see outside, without the usual nasty reflections at night. So it was pleasant to watch the passing river traffic.

We were seated and immediately provided with water and offered drinks. We both ordered the Lamb with a kipfler chip side to share and a bottle of Brokenwood red. The bottle of wine was brought out promptly and opened at the table. The main meals arrived in reasonable time.
However, the main was definitely not worth $32AUD.

I quote the exact menu description Garlic studded lamb rump, olive and green bean salad, eggplant caviar, red pepper essence .
The presentation consisted of a medium white square plate, whole green beans placed in a flat pile and one 2cm thick slice of lamb that looked like it was cut from one of those de-boned easy carve lambs available in your supermarket. It looked like a meal we had knocked up at home, so immediately I felt underwhelmed.

Now the ingredients check off: garlic, yes. Lamb, yes. Olive, yes quartered and I estimate total to be three. Beans, yes. Salad, I suppose so if beans with a few olives makes a salad. Eggplant Caviar, nowhere to be found. Red Pepper essence, no, yes, well arguable there as a colouring on the plate. The side of kipflers was OK but was depicted on the menu as kipfler chips with truffle oil and rosemary salt . Cutting a whole potato in half is now called a chip, interesting. I did detect some rosemary but the chips definitely needed more salt.
We still felt peckish so we ordered deserts. They were tasty and enjoyable but not worth $15.
When paying the bill I told the waitress about the missing Eggplant and the response was I'll mention it to the kitchen or words to that effect.

Perfect.
Only 3 other diners as it was a mid-week dinner. The presentation of our entrees and meals was just gorgeous and the different flavours all came through separately as there was no crowding of everything on the plate. Very attentive yet unobtrusive service, with a bill of less than $100 for the two of us. Aqua Linea don't change a thing! We're coming back!
