The cuisine of the Uighurs, a Turkish group originating from Central China, is an alluring mix of Middle Eastern, Russian and Chinese spice, with meats such as lamb, and a broad variety of fresh salads.
Apandim Uighur offers a welcoming setting, with authentic Uighur art spread around the walls and warm hospitality. There's also a traditional private dining room where patrons can enjoy a meal while sitting on the floor. Bona fide dishes range from the whole lamb roasted in a heady mix of chilli and cumin, to a salad with a collage of red and green capsicum, tomato and cucumber and a subtle vinegar dressing. Being fully licensed and BYO, patrons may decide to select a libation suggested by the knowledgeable staff or choose to bring something that is equally complementary to the food.
