very nice
I popped in for lunch and was treated to a very nice experience. The food tasted as though it had been cared for in the kitchen and came out steaming hot and with a smile. Quite reasonable prices too.

Slightly Disappointed
While the staff were very friendly, the level of service we experienced was not great. We had made a reservation for 8pm, and arrived 5 minutes late and still had to wait for our table to be cleared. We didn t receive fresh cutlery until after our meals had been served and our table was not wiped before we sat down (resulting in wet elbows!!).

My boyfriend enjoyed his salmon risotto (but he will eat anything!!), and while my chicken was nice enough, I didn t quite understand the large amount of cabbage that was served as my vegetables I won t eat cabbage at the best of times, let alone when I am out for dinner!!

BUT the dessert was delicious!

All in all, we had a fun night, but it was more the company I was with rather than the dining experience.

A bit slow
The place was about half full but took 20 mins to bring the drinks, and longer for the garlic bread (which didn't appear to have any garlic). My husband ordered veal and because it didn't come with any vegies or salad, asked for some chips on the side. Well they, being potato wedges, arrived about 15 mins before the veal. The volume of the music was loud one minute and hard to hear the next. All in all - not a great experience.

A bit slow, but friendly service
The service was the best part about it, in my opinion - my father loved the Cajun chicken but my risotto (the pumpkin risotto) while nice to begin with became a bit overwhelming towards the end. The food took a while to arrive, but it probably seems worse due to how hungry I was! Our waitress was very friendly and made conversation with us despite being the only waiter there.

We dined at Antigo's on a very busy Friday night.
As always we were greeted with a smile, and were lucky enough to get our favourite seat on the balcony.
The service was very friendly and the food was fantastic. I had the seafood bbq, and the salmon was exactly the way I like it. Whenever I go to Antigo's, I can never decide what to eat, as the menu is so large and full of yummy things.

I would recommend it to any of my friends.

I'm not sure what miracle occurred when Catherine86 went there, but the garlic bread was not the best in the city (the stuff you get frozen from Coles is better). Also the service is most definitely not friendly (in fact it's downright icy) or punctual. Or even in existence. I'd say they need more staff, but the staff they have are rude and incompetent, and the food most definitely did not make up for being ignored, forgotten, lied to and charged for things we did not order.

Not in a rush
We visited Antigo's last Friday before going to a show at the Canberra Theatre. Despite them being aware of this when we made the booking and when we ordered (and their website saying they specialise in pre-theatre dinner) about 1 and a half hours after we arrived. This left us 5 minutes to eat the meal and make it to the theatre. Also does it really take 20 minutes to open a beer! Very disappointed with the service. They need a lot more staff.

The food was brilliant. So if you have a spare couple of hours the food is almost worth the wait.

I love this place!
Antigo is amazing. It’s synonymous with great food, great prices and relaxing atmosphere. The service is always friendly and punctual.

They serve the absolute best garlic bread in the city, but it's the Atlantic Salmon that is the pick of the menu - and for desert it is impossible to pass up on the Sticky Date Pudding. I have never been disappointed with a night out at Antigo - I recommend it to all of my friends and to you.

One word of advice - make a booking if heading in on a Friday night as the place is always packed.
