Merely a stone's throw away from the Randwick Racecourse sits the new home of authentic Portuguese for the Eastern suburbs. Enter Angelo's Portugalia, where chicken is the primary passion, with choices of free range, hormone-free and antibiotic-free, all grilled over an open charcoal for a hearty taste. But chicken's certainly not the only attraction at Angelo's: coated in special secret sauces passed down the family, the signature Portugalia steak and Chanfana (slow-roasted lamb) sit side-by-side with entrees such as garlic prawns, steamed clams and barbecued chorizo. Add a glass of wine for full effect, with a comprehensive wine list covering Portuguese, Australian, New Zealand and French vino. Angelo's Portugalia also offers banquet prices for functions with more than 10 people.

Angelo's
Had booked a special table for Birthday and confirmed it twice only to find it had been given away on our arrival. Was seated but no one came near us so had to asked to be served. Asked to speak to owner but he said he was too busy. Asked for Birthday cake to be served after dinner and they served the wrong cake, sparklers and candles all lit. Finally to add insult to injury I have just discovered I was charged twice for my meal.
