Gallery exhibits of local art compete with glorious water views for diners' attention at this eatery above Freshwater Beach. While Angel starts the day as a cafe, serving a familiar menu of eggs, pancakes and toast, the innovative lunch and dinner menus make sandwich-hunting beachgoers pause. Think zucchini and noodle pancakes with sauteed prawns; or slow-cooked pork with star anise.

Lucnch with the girls
The girls and I had our combined birthday's party at Angel on Saturday and we had a wonderful time. There were thirteen on us on the deck, the sun was shining and we had a great view of the beach. We had the three course function set menu and drinks package and we had a great time - great food and plenty of bubbles! The service was very friendly and helpful. We have been to all the places in Manly so it was nice to find somewhere a bit different, but not too far away. Highly recommended!

Angel seafood degustation
Tried Angel's seafood degustation last Thursday. Loved it! All the seafood I could think of - tuna (awesome), oysters, baby octopus, kingfish and other stuff too. Great friendly service and relaxed atmosphere. Pretty good value too I think - sixty bucks for eight courses. We BYOed so not too bad. Going back for the beer degustation next time!
