Something fishy? It's got to be Anchors Seafood Restaurant, the only Newcastle restaurant with its very own fresh seafood market, where prawns, lobsters, oysters, crab mussels, scallops and calamari make frequent appearances. With all the daily fresh seafood on offer, it's no wonder that the restaurant's menu is filled to the brim with all kinds of sumptuous delights, including thermidor lobster (in a light mustard, dry sherry and creamy sauce) and seafood paella that packs an ocean-full of ingredients, including sea scallops, blue swimmer crab and squid.
Nominated for three years running in the category of Best Family Restaurant in the Restaurants and Caterers of NSW Awards for Excellence, it's certainly a family - and fishy - affair.
