Anatolia is a delight of Turkish food, with a traditional banquet the way to go if you want the full flavoursome experience. Starting with dips and a mezze plate and moving to marinated meat and seafood dishes, it's the desserts that are a true family affair, with the owner's grandmother offering up recipes that have been passed down through the line for generations.

A memorable dinner in Hobart - a real gem
This restaurant was amazing. We were visiting from Melbourne and found this by chance. We had the seafood banquet (very reasonably priced at $35) salmon kebabs, prawns, oysters and marinated octopus. The food was mouthwatering and the service quick (even though we hadn't booked). The owner was delight to chat to and even gave us some complimentary dessert to take away. I have recommended all my friends and family visiting Hobart family visit this wonderful restaurant. Look forward to visiting it again on our next visit to Hobart.

Amazing food in unique, friendly atmosphere
We have been here a few times now, and we have never left without complimenting the staff and the chef. The food is AMAZING! And we loved the service and atmosphere. This is now our favourite restaurant in Hobart and we will be back again!

Christmas lunch
This was the most understated restaurant we have ever been to. These people opened shop just for us. The food was cooked to perfection by a very talented Chef (International award winning) and was our 1st experience of Turkish food. What a wonderful, relaxing christmas lunch. We will definately be going back. Banquets are the way to go if you are new to Turkish food. Just to let people know the web site under the name of Anatolia North Hobart is actally the old owners of this restaurant so the information is outdated and menus are incorrect.

Turkey revisited
Wow, what can I say to "mangosmoothie" - we had an absolute fabulous experience at Anatolia. The food was sensational - authentic to the last morsel, the hosts were so friendly and accomodating and the guy playing guitar was just the perfect touch. Fine dining it is not but we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Hobart, in fact if we ever return, it is on our 'must visit' list.

Bad value for money
Don't go to Anatolia if you require attentive service or value for money. A workmate booked the function room for our party but when we turned up another group was using it. Banquets are $30-$35 each and definitely do not represent good value. Service was amateur and annoying. Most of us went home from Anatolia that night hungry and vowing not to go there again.
