Great Food
The menu was sensational with so much to choose from. My partner and I had a pizza to start which was fantastic and the Prawn linguini and the John Dory to follow was excellent! Well done, we will be back!

Perfect Valentines night out
I found Amoroma to be the perfect place to celebrate Valentines day this year. There were two menu options to choose from and the set menu still gave us a choice which was perfect! Compared to other restaurants the price was extremely reasonable and the food and service was worth every cent.

Poor
After reading previous reviews on this page I make the observation that every poor review is followed up by a excellent review. Interesting. Well we are back to the bad. Overpriced, poor poor service and management that were not interested when we made them aware of our dissatisfaction.

Very enjoyable!
I hadn't been to Amoroma for some time and I must say it's better than before. The menu is still great but has so much more variety, and even though the restaurant was extremley busy on the night we went, the service was still fantastic! Keep it up, I will definitely come back for more.

How do you give negative stars?
One of my worst dining experiences EVER.
The menu was overpriced, the food - when it came - was tasteless and dry, and some portions were miserly. A poor representation of Italian cuisine - although the menu looked promising, the food was prepared without thought, care, skill, or any gastronomical creativity.

As an example, the linguine al gamberino at $28 was essentially undercooked pasta with a few tomatoes and prawns, non-existent but promised basil, lashed with chili oil to disguise the blandness of the dish.

After reporting our dissatisfaction to the serving staff with a request to pass it on to management we were further ignored and no effort was made to investigate the reasons for our dissatisfaction or make any apology or rectification whatsoever. Beware - a dining establishment which takes advantage of a great location and preys on people who will only be in Sydney for a short time.

Great lunch spot!
For a busy Friday lunch Amo Roma was heavily booked but even without a booking we were still able to get a table. The food was very good and the service was prompt even though they were so busy. An even better surprise was the bill at the end which I found was very resonable for a city restaurant. Definitely worth another visit!

Don't go here
The food is overpriced, tasteless and the service is terrible.
We went here for lunch on a Sunday, and I will definitely never be going back. It was $27 for pasta with crab meat, which was overcooked, not fresh and tasteless. The pasta was oily and apart from the tinned crab meat all it had was a chopped up tomato. It was one of the worst things I have ever tasted, for that price I was expecting something a lot better. The spinach salad with mushrooms and goats curd was even worse. At $19 I expected something a little more substantial than a bowl of spinach with 5 timy mushrooms and a few measly bits of cheese.
The service was terrible, and all staff seemed totally uninterested in being there.

Awesome!
One of the best Italian restaurants in Sydney! Food was awesome and not over priced. Staff made us feel very welcome even though we were without a booking and as we had our 2 children with us the restaurant was very child friendly and the staff were very happy to accommodate our childrens fussy requests. Thank you Amoroma we will definitely be comming back!

Service
Would you believe it, we ordered garlic bread which after an hour still hadn't arrived. How long does it take to heat up garlic bread? After numerous requests to the staff who were doing well to avoid eye contact, we received one pizza (still no garlic bread). After my partner ate her pizza and I went to the front counter to complain again, I finally received my pizza 15 mins later (under cooked as well). Then when settling the bill they had garlic bread on the bill.

Valentines disaster
I made a big mistake of booking a dinner there on valentines. Im glad I'm already married because my partner and I was not impressed.

Service of exceptionally slow, given that the restaurant did not appear to be very busy and a hefty premium was paid for the valentines dinner it is totally unacceptable. Even the settling of bill was a struggle.
Food was very average.
Atmosphere was ordinary.

Slow service
We ate at Amo Roma on New Year's Eve which was always going to be a busy time so we were expecting that service might be a bit slow... however what we didn't expect was that we would wait an hour for starters, when they arrived they were all wrong, then another hour for mains. The main meals came out and there were 10 of the same meals, but we had all ordered different items. So some of our party had to wait a further 30 minutes while most of us tucked in. The vegetarian option was paltry - a 'timbale of vegetables' apparently means a couple of root veg arranged in a flower on your plate with an asparagus stem on top - no sauce, no staples, no imagination! My friends had to ask for a side of mash in order to fill up, which of course arrived after the meal was finished.

My friend and I work in the same building and thought we could evaporate some of the usual Friday drudgery with a well deserved outing to a local eatery. Two hours later, I am now back at my desk to find that my excitement been replaced with unnecessary stress and frustration! What went wrong?

This week we decided to revisit a place we have been before and found quite delightful. Upon entering we discovered to our horror that the casual menu has been 'upgraded' - upping prices by as much as $9. Plunging onwards in the hope that the price inflation will reveal a finer selection of food, we remain conservative with my friend ordering the $19.50 risotto and me the $19 steak burger. One word: don't.

After an hour's wait, and two checks with staff as to the reason (with no answers but only ever an 'I'll check with the kitchen') I receive two steaks reminiscent of the leather often served off my father's BBQ, squashed between a budget bun with nothing but cheese to accompany it - and my friend's undercooked risotto was not much better.

Managing to scoff half my meal in an attempt to halt the grumbling in my stomach, we decide to simply lump it and leave.
