Ola, amigos! Get ready for a soaking of sangria and salsa at Amigo's Mexican Cantina, North Hobart's much-reputed Tex-Mex restaurant. The decor gives this place a strong sense of theme, decked out like a Mexican hut with brightly painted walls, random sombreros, and a wall - or shrine - of liquor bottles. Naturally, the food is just as authentic as the surroundings, covering nachos, tacos, fajitas, burritos, enchiladas, chimichangas, chilli con carne, paella and much more. Whatever your chilli preference, from mild to extreme (dubbed "hurt me" on the menu), Amigo's makes sure you leave with a new appreciation for the Mexican way.
