Claiming to have "the best woodfired pizza in Sydney" is either a very brave or very foolish statement from this Lebanese eatery in the little known suburb of Belfield in Sydney's west, but judging by the enthused crowds filling this place on a nightly basis they're not alone in their thinking.
The mezza menu is also a popular choice with the locals. The mixed dips are house-made and come with a generous basket full of piping hot bread. The salads are fresh and serve as a refresh button for the over-eager palette, and the grills are generous, offering three succulent skewers of kafta (mince), shish (lamb) or tawouk (chicken). But the piece de resistance is without doubt the wafer thin pizzas. Whether or not they're Sydney's best you'll have to decide for yourself.
