Yes, it's another tapas-style eatery and yes, it's perched along fashionable Jones Bay Wharf ... but Alira is still worth all the saffron in Spain.
A great place for a drink and a light nibble, Alira differs from the stock-standard tapas parlours popping up around Sydney, as much of the food on offer tends to meld the heady spices of both North Africa and the Middle East. Alira is open till late, which makes it a fitting destination for a fashionable beverage and an exotic taste of the Mediterranean-cum-Middle East.
