A cosy enclave bathed in dark brown, red and earth tones, Alice Thai feels a world away from the commercial Oxford Street strip on which it sits. While the space is indeed attractive, this restaurant doesn't charge a premium for its food, offering traditional Thai meals at reasonable prices. Naturally most of the mains are Thai curries and stir-fries such as the coconut-based salmon curry and the black pepper stir-fry (meat or vegetarian). If you live or work around the area, the lunch specials are sure to bring your wallet and palate some easy joy.
