This is Sydney's sole Iraqi restaurant. The menu is brief but offers some tempting dishes such as kebabs, tikka and barbecue fish. There are also a range of side dishes to complement the mains, including hummus and tomato and cucumber salad. Pickles and lemon wedges are also provided to give the roast meats such as 'fill in lamb' and bread curry stew a zing. Delicious traditional Iraqi bread is on hand to sop up the unctuous sauces.

I frequent this hidden gem every couple weeks when the craving surfaces. Awesome food, great portions, great value. It is not one of those a fancy restaurants but the quality, quantity and value are great. Everyone who I have taken there have been overly impressed. I recommend the lamb shanks and meat combination with hommus dip. If you can finish it all between two, you have done very well. It's a good idea to book ahead or you may have to sometimes wait for a table. Go check it out, it's the bomb!
