Like the science of alchemy, this cafe restaurant turns diners into gold under its opulent chandeliers that gild the room during its casual daytimes and more formal evenings. Crowned on Crown Street, Alchemy Cafe Restaurant is indeed an elegant slice of Europe in Surry Hills, featuring a regularly changing set of framed artworks adorning the walls, and being one of the only eateries in Sydney to serve Polish cuisine. Along with heavenly homemade cakes and fresh coffees, Alchemy's classy menu incorporates other European traditions too, offering dishes such as beef stroganoff, veal scallopine, and osso bucco.
