Pay Top Dollar for Chips!
This restaurant has had some good reviews and appears quite pleasant and cosy from the outside. Everything was quite alright until the food came... It appears that this restaurant is trying to stinge out on every corner. Tomato juice as an amuse bouche, then the duck liver parfait was served with an over-toasted piece of hard so-called "brioche". The worst part was the main. The lamb dish included one single lamb cutlet! A little lamb sausage, and a "shepherds pie" with no crust. There was no thought, no art put into the dish at all. None of my friends at the table enjoyed their meals either. Just plain and ordinary, even stinging out on fresh herbs. Potato was served with everything, and the small mashed potatoes had about a pound of butter in it. Dessert was OK, but not particularly creative. The most enjoyable part of the night was the wine that I brought myself, and the company of friends. Apart from that, the food was the spoiler of the night. Don't go here unless you like to be ripped off. Don't know how this place got a hat in '07, but it certainly doesn't deserve to be anywhere near the hat listings at its current state.
