Self-described as a pub with true character, this refurbished venue doesn't disappoint. Everything from the meals to the service and decor are exactly as you'd want from your local. Immediately after walking in you can breathe a huge sigh of relief; the vintage motorbike centrepiece, hand-carved public bar and original Tiffany lampshades all serve to reassure you that this place knows where it's from and what it's about. The menu is similarly comforting, with classic pub fare the order of the day. Picky meat-eaters can cook their own on the massive communal grill or, alternatively, let one of the pros in the kitchen handle it.
