Influenced over thousands of years by the cuisine of its neighbouring countries, Turkey and Iran, Iraqi food is rich in flavour, texture and spice, and this restaurant is true to the food's ancient origins, offering authentic and traditional Iraqi cuisine.
Popular dishes here include the whole skewered fish barbequed on a grill (an Iraqi favourite known as masgouf) and the grilled quails, which come (as many of the dishes do) with delicious hummus and tabouli. With a live band and belly dancers on Friday nights, this is a hit for families and the uninitiated, as well as those already converted to the beautiful flavours of Iraq.
