Al Alamy

Al Alamy translates from Arabic into English as 'world of foods'. This venue situated in Coburg is a vibrant and warm family-friendly eatery. It is not only a cafe but a deli and grocery as well, so if you work up an appetite browsing through the fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, dried goods and deli fare that adorn the walls, you can conveniently park yourself in a seat and order up a traditional Lebanese meal and coffee made from beans roasted onsite. There is an option to create your own pizza and, with the cafe baking more than 1500 pizza bases a day, it is safe to say this is the most popular choice for lunch and dinner. The awarma is a good choice for breakfast: scrambled eggs with minced lamb and Lebanese pickles and dip.

We love coming to this local bakery as the food is cheap, tasty and filling. A few recommmendations:
the chicken and mushroom pie.
Zatar (oregano pizza) with tomato and onion to moisten and otherwise dry dish it is a treat.
The spinach and halloumi cheese pie is a great combo.
You cant beat the value for money. Our family (2 adults + 3 kids) will have lunch here for well under $20 (excluding drinks) and be completely satisfied.
As with any bakery this sort of food you need to have fresh straight out of the oven- not the sort of stuff you take home and eat an hour or so later.
The service is friendly. The atmosphere around lunch rush hour can be a bit chaotic.
