Restaurant Information
Ahaan Thai
Sitting on the edge of the Yarra Valley is the outer eastern Melbourne suburb of Lilydale, the home to one of Melbourne's oldest Thai restaurants, Ahaan Thai (it's apparently been here since 1989). Reflecting its cultural routes, Ahaan Thai features myriad Thai statues and adornments about the place, as well as bouquets and pot plants, enhancing the warm, tropical feel. There's couch seating for casual moments, and table seating for more formal occasions, though the feel is decidedly relaxed on both accounts. Last but not least, the menu contains the classic soups, curries, spring rolls, stir-fries, noodles, salads and rice dishes Thai food lovers adore. Plus, the desserts harbour exotic temptations like rambutan stuffed with pineapple.
