Agni

This charming Indian restaurant channels traditional Indian-style dining with a hefty dose of class. From your table you can even view the chefs at work in the glassed-in kitchen. One of the other big drawcards is the all-you-can-eat buffet from Thursdays to Sundays each week while the Sunday brunch is also a popular highlight with Innaloo locals in need of some midday pep.

Had a great night!
I had such a nice night with my family last night at Agni that I thought it deserved a mention.
The food was amazing, the decore was beautiful, the staff were very efficient and friendly and the big surprise was that they had a fantastic live sitar and flute player playing away throughout the night which created a beautiful atmosphere. Very happy indeed!!

Agni - Certainly not agony
A weekend of hard labour slaving away in the garden meant that we could dine at Agni, and hold ourselves accountable for the amount we ate from the wonderful smorgasbord on offer. Only time would tell if the deliciousness on offer would be a trap!

Upon arrival, we were greeted at the door by the doorman in traditional dress, which is a very nice touch, and set the standard for the evening. Inside the decor is decadent, and bordering on over-the-top. The massive chandelier is very impressive.

After being sat down, drinks were poured and the anticipation of eating was slowly building, with one eye on the queue to the food. Well, truth be told, we just enjoyed having a drink and a chat before getting into it.

So to the food. There was a good mix of curries on offer from the very mild, to the very hot (be careful of the hot vindaloo; it may be just hot on the first mouthful, but the heat builds with each subsequent one as well). There's also chicken, lamb, beef, fish and vegetarian options as well. On top of that, there are sauces and chutneys, salads and desserts. The Goan Fish Curry is one of the highlights, with it's smooth, creamy and spicy flavours.

I have dined here before on a quieter night, and wasn't that impressed, but this night was very different. The quality was very high, the curries very fresh and very, very tasty. At $35, it represents very good value, but in it's smorgasbord format, it loses some of that restaurant magic of being waited on, hand and foot. Nonetheless, I'd definitely recommend it, and make sure that, unlike me, your eyes aren't bigger than your stomach!

Best Indian food!
Yummy buffet dinner - fish curry and the desserts are to die for! All for $28. Lovely atmosphere, friendly helpful staff, great service for 15 people on a very busy Friday night. Will definitely be going back
