In Australia, African cuisine holds plenty of foreign intrigue given its minor representation in our restaurants. Luckily for us, eateries like African Taste and Footscray's nearby restaurants that comprise "Little Ethiopia" are spreading the word about the delicious possibilities of authentic food from various African traditions. African Taste predominantly looks at Ethiopian and Eritrean foods ranging from spicy stews to tibs (a sauteed meat or vegie dish) to injera (the signature Ethiopian sourdough flatbread). You may be pleasantly surprised by some of the African fusion flavours you find at this fresh, bright and bubbly little trooper.
