Acquazul Italian Restaurant

  • E1 Honeysuckle Dr
    Newcastle 2300 NSW
  • Chef: Sam Harman & Chris Thornton

Bathed in natural sunlight and blessed with a stellar waterside location, Acquazul sits comfortably on Newcastle Harbour, transforming The Boardwalk into a mini Amalfi Coast. Meaning "blue water" in Italian, Acquazul prides itself on presenting fresh food using local produce while not compromising the classic Mediterranean style infused in the a la carte menu of risotto, pasta, seafood, pizza and steak options. Examples include the Pollo Saltimbocca (corn-fed spatchcock, pancetta, sage and caponata) and the Taglierini con Granchio e Limone pasta with crab and lemon (blue swimmer crab, lemon, zucchini flowers and fried bread crumbs). Popular with the locals, Acquazul has certainly made a splash on the Newcastle restaurant scene.
