Abruzzo is an old-style Italian restaurant, a place which prides itself on great service and good food served the traditional way. The comfortable dining room is littered with deep padded chairs and decorated with a mix of snowy white linen, chocolate carpet, mushroom-coloured drapes and cream panelling. Abruzzo is perhaps best known for its coastal cookery and the specials include fish dishes such as barramundi and blue-eye cod. The service is brilliant: smartly dressed waiting staff (black waistcoats, white shirts and black ties are the order of the day) display elegant, old-school Italian ethics. The wine list has a decent selection of both Italian and Australian wines.

Disappointed
Took my mother out for dinner, was very disappointed. We both order chicken parma, and there was no taste of chicken all we can taste is breadcrumbs. The sides were oily and terrible. For $25 each, I would not recommend it. I have been to this place many years ago and was very good. My mother want to go there and we both were very disappointed. I was speaking to my friends who were Italian and they all said that Abruzzo has changed and the food was terrible and over priced. Don't go!
