You'll love it!
The jerk chicken and curried goat are the must-tries. They are both spicy but very delicious! Great food, great service.

Jerk Chicken, Anyone?
When you are on to a good thing, stick with it. I order the jerk chicken everytime. I have heard everthing elso is good too. We have been going there regularly. The food is so good, there is nothing elso like it in Adelaide. It is so refreshing that a restaurant is daring to be different. It is definitely worth a try.

Oh what a night!
I had been planning to eat at A Taste of Jamaica since it was on Goodwood Road, then a friend of mine came across it in the city. We jumped at the chance to try something different. And different it was. We turned up for dinner to see there was a great band on. We were somewhat taken aback when we were greeted by a VERY casual guy in shorts and t-shirt who sat down and took us through the menu like old friends (which with the wrong person can be soooo annoying but this was genuine island hospitality). I had the jerk chicken, which was like a flavour hit, really spicy but perfectly balanced. My two friends had the curried goat and oxtail. We all shared and every bit of it was super! All the meats had the melt in your mouth tenderness. The band was great and on leaving we asked when they were playing next - it ended up it was the next night at a Bob Marley birthday tribute. So the next night (would you believe it!) I brought a few more friends and we ended up staying all night. It was truly one of the best nights out I have ever had, one of the rare moments where the world seems to come together in the one place and there is harmony, the band featured Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men singing everything from reggae to country and everyone was loving it. I met people from Quebec to Africa. It was like Womad in one restaurant. This will definitley be my Fringe Festival hotspot. Try the jerk chicken!

Great Food
Went along for a meal after getting inspired by ABC's food secrets about Jamaican food. We had the curried goat and oxtail and lima beans. Very very good food, served with either rice and beans or sweet potato they were both cooked to perfection. The only slight downside was a mistake by the serving staff taking one of the meals to the wrong table, meaning a wait for one of the meals. Other than that we couldn't fault the food. The spicy pork in tamarind sauce and jerk chicken will be the next course we'll try.

Fantastic!
The food was fabulous, the service was great, and the atmosphere made me feel like I was back in the Caribbean again. Also, the food taste very authentic. And I'm a very particular person when it comes to authenticity. I organized a lunch get together with some friends here, and all of us enjoyed ourselves! Love the music! I give Taste of Jamaica two thumbs up!
