The King Street Cafe

Somehow the bustle takes nothing away from the intimacy of this Perth institution. This fine dining restaurant has a very impressive wine list covering 200 wines, including 75 by the glass. The menu changes daily, but might include seafood dishes such as swordfish with salsa, or black risotto with scallops and squid. There's also a large selection of pastries and breads baked on the premises to take away.

Very disappointing
My wife and I dined for lunch and were served very disappointing food, after waiting 45 minutes! The crispy cuttlefish salad was very tough and the tortellini was dry and hard after being pan fried.

The service was marginally better than the food. We had to ask for water and then again to get a top up. The staff didn't smile or converse with us at all.

Extremely overpriced
Unfortunately a place where you don't get what you pay for. The food was a bit boring, not very tasty and one of us even got her food served burnt and had to wait another 40 minutes for a new meal.

The waitresses were cute and charming, but not very professional.

When you pay more than 35 dollars for a meal you expect food of high quality and professional staff. This place offers you neither. A huge disappointment.
