Channelling an authentic Napoli pizzeria e cucina, 400 Gradi, or "400 Degrees" after Italian translation, turns up the heat with its popular woodfired pizzas and other staple Italian dishes. Local Lygon Street good-food foragers have embraced this eatery with gusto, perhaps because of the high-quality toppings used on the pizzas. One example is the Guancia specialty, with San Marzano tomato, fiore di latte, pancetta, funghi and olives. The menu covers ample variations of seafood, meat and vegetarian pizzas and pastas, and kids can also join in on the fun with special children's servings.

Feels like real Italian
12 Dec 2009 saturday night. Went early. food was good and service was prompt, albeit before the peak hour rush. Pizza was served on a wooden chopping board. Prosciutto on pizza was sliced as you buy it from the deli. Desserts were good - tiramisu was good size but panna cotta was quite small. Happy to go again to take someone for "an Italian experience".

400 Gradi
After reading a number of reviews on this website about 400 Gradi. I thought i would go down and give it a try, It's a rather small restaurant and is a little cramped when busy, The owner from what i believe was very nice and knew the menu quite well, but i cant say other staff members knew too much about the menu. The entre's were lovely with the three selections of gnocchi melting in my mouth, The pizza was OK but no where near fantastic.
Overall i would go back again but would defiantly order something that wasn't the pizza.

It is the freshness and high quality of produce that makes this place worth recommending. The pizzas and salads are simple but elegently prepared which emphasises this high quality. Staff are attentive and polite. It's the kind of place you want to tell all your friends about because you want for them to do well.
