This petite and cosy restaurant brings a fine-dining edge to the familiar kormas and tikka masalas. Forget scoffing a guilty butter chicken on the couch at home. This dashing, red-accented eatery encourages one to venture out and experience Indian food in style. A fiery feature wall adds life to the elegantly subdued space of dark timber and padded high-backed chairs, while statues contribute an appropriately exotic touch. The menu boasts a massive population of dishes, from the ubiquitous vindaloo or rogan josh, to some more unusual creations. Try the bhuna oysters (oysters topped with a chunky sauce of tomato and spices), the sizzling lobster or a Goan crayfish curry.

Kofta!!!!!!!!!!
Born and raised in South Asia, I do miss the food quite a bit...and so we tend to try out different Indian restaurants quite frequently. 2 Fat Indians, have by far, served the BEST Malai Kofta in Perth and I am yet to find competition!!! The waitstaff were friendly. When asked for suggestions, asked us what we were looking for and were happy to suggest dishes that met our expectations. The ambience was beautiful...an ethnic background with a somewhat western infusion! Since I was introduced to this restaurant, I have so far been there 4 times and it was a wonderful experience everytime. We will keep coming back!

Average Indian takeaway
I got takeaway dinner from 2 Fat Indians in Cottesloe and its was average. As a restaurant, it is well decorated and the reception was warm. For takeaway, the food was quick (like 10mins). We ordered chicken tikka masala which was really very good and a lamb dish which was kinda oily. Good naan and good rice!
