Top of the World Revolving Restaurant Glenelg After a long day of exploring the sandy beach and bustling promenade of Glenelg, visitors to this sunny seaside suburb might want to take a step back - or up - to the relative tranquillity of the Top of the World Revolving Restaurant. While the restaurant is not quite at the dizzying, cloud-enveloped heights that the name implies, at level 12 of the Atlantic Tower, it is plenty high enough. The restaurant turns slowly (taking 92 minutes for a full revolution), offering panoramic views of the ocean, the Mount Lofty Ranges and the church spire-spiked landscape of Adelaide city. In keeping with the briny air outside and the sparkling aquatic views, the international menu provides a wonderful selection of seafood, featuring such delicacies as lobster and squid.
